Three productivity workflows that actually stick
A simple productivity workflow for morning triage, deep work, and end-of-day reflection — short loops with Tasks, Pomodoro, and Growth diary.

A productivity workflow only works if you can run it on a busy Tuesday. You don’t need a complicated system — you need three short loops you can repeat without rebuilding your life.
These loops use features you already have in flo and keep cognitive load low — the same spirit as short Notion playbooks. If you want a morning routine for productivity that does not take an hour, start with triage, then one focus block, then two minutes of reflection.
Morning triage (10 minutes)
Morning routine productivity is mostly choosing — not rewriting every title. Open the board, pick what matters, and leave the rest alone.
- Open Tasks → Active.
- Promote at most three items to High.
- Move today’s first item to Doing on the board.
- If something repeats every day, mark it as a Daily Task (Pro+).
Example: you wake up with twelve open tasks. Promote “Send proposal”, “Draft outline”, and “Call bank”. Move “Draft outline” to Doing. Everything else waits.

Deep work block
Start a Pomodoro / Focus session, keep only the Doing column visible, and ignore Assistant until the timer ends. Completing a task should feel like a small win — flo’s sound and celebration are meant to be quick, not distracting.
Example: set a 25-minute Pomodoro on the proposal, silence chat, and only reopen Tasks when the timer ends. That single constraint is the whole deep-work workflow.
End-of-day reflection
In Growth Diary, answer one prompt: what moved a goal today? Direction reflections work the same way after a check-in. Two minutes of writing beats another abandoned weekly review template.
FAQ: productivity workflows that stick
What is the simplest productivity workflow?
Triage three High tasks in the morning, run one focus block, write two sentences at night. Anything longer rarely survives a chaotic week.
How long should a morning routine for productivity take?
Ten minutes is enough. If triage takes longer, you are reorganizing instead of choosing.
Do I need Pomodoro every day?
No. Use Focus when the work needs protection from interruptions. On light admin days, the board alone is fine.
